The temperature is 15 degrees and falling The snow started around 11:00 this morning and dusted everything it has picked up and we should get around 4 inches along with 40 hour a mile winds. I wonder why they don't consider that a BLIZZARD I am a greenhorn here in Minnesota but when it blows like that you can't see on the freeway so to me it is a blizzard. I went to take some pictures but it is too dark I will try in the morning if I can manage the cold. I decided to throw together a quick APPLE CRISP for dinner.
It helped me not to think how cold it will be getting in the next few weeks and I really love the smell of apples and cinnamon. I tried baking it in a cast iron pan and it turned out well.
Then I remembered I had some hot caramel ice cream topping, you know, the thick kind so I decided to turn my apple crisp into CARAMEL apple crisp. It was so yummy..now if I could only get myself to the gym to work off all those holiday calories...maybe in January I should start. Enjoy your holiday baking..I am.

I cannot imagine weather conditions like you are having! That apple crisp with the caramel sounds heavenly. Your header photo is beautiful. Hope you have a warm night!
Christmas has landed in your house for sure!
Oh man, would I love to have apple crisp for dinner! Did you really have it for dinner? I'll remember that for when Tom is gone on a hunting trip and I'm only cooking for myself and the kids! =)
Well Autumn there were leftovers also I guess I wasn't clear about that...leftover roast beef went well with the apple crisp
Oh my goodness, how do you stay so slim and trim? I love your new header! It is 4 degrees outside here , and it never got above 24 degrees at all today, did I somehow land in Minnesota?
Love your pics Alice. Those napkins look familiar :). I love my manger scene from dad too. I always set the wisemen off a little ways, heading to the manger from the east.
THANK YOU FOR POSTING THIS!
