COTTAGE KITCHEN

In a well-furnished kitchen there are not only crystal goblets and silver platters, but waste cans and compost buckets---some containers used to serve fine meals, others to take out the garbage.
Become the kind of container God can use to present any and every kind of gift to his guests for their blessing.
" You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies." Psalm 23:5

COTTAGE UPDATES

Yesterday I made krumkake for the other blog(lefsagirlsinthekitchen) and filled them with this wonderful cream but the problem lies in the fact that I could not stop eating them and today they are all gone, granted my hubby and son had a few but really one should learn self control. They were sooo, sooo, good!!!

Valentines flowers from my hubby

I hinted that I want all white to go with the table.

carnations and roses my favorite

I have been so busy with babysitting, caring for the sick family, including myself ,and trying to catch up on all the house stuff that I had forgotten to eat breakfast. With this virus that hit us no-one has felt much like eating but this day I was getting my appitite back and so I made myself a little brunch. Have you ever made apple and potatoes together with just a hint of onion? It was really good then the scrambled eggs with peppers, mushrooms, and onions..no cheese. It still needed a little something so I sliced a tomato, sprinkled a bit of salt and finally enjoyed a nice meal after several days of being sick. That is where the orange juice comes in..vitamin c to try and keep healthy
I cook the red potatoes seperately from the apples then add them together for about 5 minutes and saute the onion first, a sweet onion is best. Looking forward to a day off from babysitting and a little rest...still have the house to get in order but I think there will be plenty of time. Hope everyone stays well and this noro virus stays outta your town. 24 hours of misery and then a week of recuperation but you can function.
~SEE YA ALL NEXT TIME~.

You sound like me. We've been sick and haven't wanted much to eat. Yesterday I made brownies and we have eaten the whole pan! Your Valentine's flowers are so pretty and just the perfect addition to your table. I hope you enjoy a little free time and get to feeling very good again!
