Well we are off to visit my husbands brother who lives in Omaha, Nebraska. I flew in there once on my way to Council Bluffs Iowa for a wedding but never have visited the state. I do hope there is more to see then corn fields, well the family of course, but I was thinking on the drive down. I am missing my families reunion in Washinton State . How I would love to see Cedar Pond and how everything has changed from the last time I was there. Maybe pick some berries or enjoy the water..oh well, enough of that. It will just have to be a weekend in Nebraska. I am sure it will be a good time visiting with my hubbys family. Be safe and have a nice weekend to all.

I have been to Nebraska in the dead of winter, and in summer. Summer was better! The winter was like...like, umm, like...MINNESOTA! You will have fun, but we will miss you.
thanks guys...it is always more comfortable visiting with your own family but I didnt go last year. (Mary was having the baby)It will be good for me to leave my comfort zone for awhile. Cheryl(sister) is trying to keep the family together sense her parents died. They don't want to lose touch like so many families do.
Good for Cheryl, and that means it is good for Paul and the rest of his family. We know you will have a good time!
Alice goes to Wonderland! Or at least Nebraska, but it's bound to be wonderful. Any chance for a road trip I always say! I love flat, open fields and plains. Of course I've been cooped up in the trees and mountains and clouds my whole life - it gets a bit chlostrophobic. At least the air is clean. Hey, you've got good times with all of your kids coming up real soon! ~ Autumn
Hope your having a wonderful time Alice!
This is my first visit to your cottage garden. I live in a small apartment and love to see the beautiful gardens and clever, outdoor decorating done by most of the ladies on the blog site. I am a great-grandma, mother of 6 grown children. Just had the scare of our life when a daughter was mistakenly diagnosed with breast cancer. Took my off my site for a few days.
but, I am not very good at this yet.
I am old enough to recall great-grandparents homestead and all the "Down Home" things that go with it.
I plan to visit again and hoping to get my bearings soon.
