COTTAGE KITCHEN

In a well-furnished kitchen there are not only crystal goblets and silver platters, but waste cans and compost buckets---some containers used to serve fine meals, others to take out the garbage.
Become the kind of container God can use to present any and every kind of gift to his guests for their blessing.
" You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies." Psalm 23:5

CHRISTMAS COOKIES

I am testing out the new oven for my Christmas cookie baking. I have found over the years if you don't use the same oven you are use to the cookies do not always turn out. These are shortbread, pecan shortbread and almond roca cookie which I was experimenting with. I did not have any almonds to put on the top of the chocolate , that will be saved for Christmas.
It began snowing today just flurries but the temperature has definately dropped below freezing. I have started to heat the place full time now, nice and toasty warm inside cold and freezing outside. I need to get outside and take some pictures to share but I really don't like it cold so I will need a little coaxing:)

I bet your home smells wonderful with the cookies baking. I'm not much for cold weather either and I can imagine just how cold it is there compared to here in GA!!! Have a cozy weekend.

Well a few delicious cookies with great coffee always bolster and brace me for the cold weather outside!

I have to say Alice, you and your big brother are way more alike than I ever knew! He seems to live for cooking and experimenting with good food....my waistline and his are a testament to this.

I braved the 29 degrees and took some pics at dawn! I'll try to post them tomorrow. I've got to get started baking myself. :)
Maybe tomorrow. We got 5 eggs yesterday! Maybe by Christmas all 9 will be laying! HA! NEED those eggs for baking!

Looks yummy! I don't make them like I uses to; I'd just want to eat them.
