COTTAGE KITCHEN

In a well-furnished kitchen there are not only crystal goblets and silver platters, but waste cans and compost buckets---some containers used to serve fine meals, others to take out the garbage.
Become the kind of container God can use to present any and every kind of gift to his guests for their blessing.
" You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies." Psalm 23:5

GRAMMYCARE

Here we are finishing our second week of Grandmas daycare and yes I am exhausted. I head to bed between 7 and 8 everynight. I watch a little TV or maybe a movie and before you know it I am out like a light. It is a little hard being in a small space but we seem to be working all the little kinks out. I just pray everyday for energy and that I might make a small difference in their lives. This is one of those times where I am learning to really rely on GOD for his strength and wisdom. We had swimming on Thursday with Hunter and the baby sleeps the whole time. We made a cake for Grandpa. Hunter likes baking and doing dishes. I need to let him help more with the dishes and encourage him that helping is good. He loves his baby sister and we have no problems there except maybe too much loving. Ellie comes early on Friday so we made cookies with Nutella instead of peanut butter. She also likes baking and is getting better at it. I will be resting up this weekend to start week number three. I am a little sore from all the lifting , holding, carring and playing on the floor but I am sure it is good for me and I will adjust soon.

~~~~~Have a great weekend~~~~~
Get lots of rest this weekend. The grands are very fortunate to have you to care for and teach them in these impressionable years. The baby is so sweet.
You're doing a great job and God will reward you. Those children are learning about Jesus because you care and are able to care for them. As to going to bed early, heck, I do that whenever possible and I don't had grands! -smile-
What you are doing is wonderful and valuable. I only hope you can keep up your strength! I only keep a couple of older ones on Wednesdays, and they wear me out mentally and physically.
You're a saint!
Wow Alice! I know you're busy. I seem to feel the same as you after a day of playing with my grandkids. Aren't we blessed to be able to do this? I feel our grandchildren are blessed too and like you, I pray I will share what is important and they remember our God,the God of their grandparents, as they grow older, and that they all come to know Jesus.
Looks like a lot of fun even though it wears you out.
