COTTAGE KITCHEN

In a well-furnished kitchen there are not only crystal goblets and silver platters, but waste cans and compost buckets---some containers used to serve fine meals, others to take out the garbage.
Become the kind of container God can use to present any and every kind of gift to his guests for their blessing.
" You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies." Psalm 23:5

FOURTH OF JULY

We all gathered at My sons house for a bar-b-que and home fireworks . Ellie was waiting when we got there , she loves it when we all get together

Grandma took them outside for a swing while everything was getting ready. They have so much fun together

Ellie saw Hunter pass the fruit plate and help himself as he went out to the deck so she thought she mght try it also but she is a little shorter and had a little more difficulty. It was so much fun to watch these two cousins interact, they might just become best friends

Hunter wanted to eat oustside so Grandma found a shady spot. He loves corn on the cob, it might be the only vegetable he eats right now.
The kids have two different swimming styles. Hunter loves to jump, splash and do stunts

Ellie likes to wade slowly, no splashing and dip and pour the water in various buckets or toys

She was trying out Hunters chair because he fell in love with hers and was sitting in it. She didn't mind sharing this item.

It was time for fireworks and Uncle Micheal was showing Hunter how to be safe. He had so much fun helping and telling Uncle Michael when to run away after it was lit.

Which one next Uncle Mike?

Ok now...don't forget to run
Harper just sat and watched the whole thing

Karla will be having the baby on July 27. The weather has been very hot and very humid so she is not very comfortable

Auntie Cheryl and Auntie Jo sharing their first fourth of July with the family
We even had a bonfire but the mosquitoes got so bad we had to go inside. It was a great time of food and family.

I am so behind in my blogging and now my daughter and her family are visiting so there will be lots more pictures to share when I can get some time. I hope to catch up on my blog reading also. The weather has cooled to high 80's but still is uncomfortable with high humidity. I miss Washington (home) where the wether is less HARSH.

Too much fun going on over there! Yay! The baby is coming in 2 more days! Can't wait! Love the pic of Ellie reaching for the fruit. Oh - on your question about shooting the bow on my blog - it does take some practice to build up the muscles in your shoulders and back but start with what you can pull and work up to handle more. ( They're adjustable. )
