COTTAGE KITCHEN

In a well-furnished kitchen there are not only crystal goblets and silver platters, but waste cans and compost buckets---some containers used to serve fine meals, others to take out the garbage.
Become the kind of container God can use to present any and every kind of gift to his guests for their blessing.
" You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies." Psalm 23:5

COTTAGE FALL DECORATING

~A WORK IN PROGRESS~
Well we will start with the table. I think this is finished (except for the food of course:)
Glasses are from J.C. Penny
(we looked every where for amber colored glasses)
Dishes, Linens and centerpiece from Walmart
( Yes..I will be ironing the linens)
Pumpkin and Acorn salt and pepper shakers
(clearance at Walgreens)
I wanted to serve pumpkin or butternut squash soup in the leaf bowls.
My daughter has suggested a chicken wild rice soup ,which would still be fall like, and everyone would enjoy

We won't be having more than 6 for dinner so the table will remain small. This centerpiece has tealights and I may put a small flower or leaf arrangement inside which will then mean I don't need extra flowers in a vase. Everything all in one..I like that!

The buffet still needs a runner but I haven't found one I like yet. I may put some of the pies or desserts on here so I don't want it too cluttered.
The wire tealights are also from Walmart
Mirror is from Bombay Company
Buffet from Callans Furniture Store (Saint Cloud, MN)
Lamps from a local gift store(on sale of course)
This wine cabinet may be moved into the living room and will hold an appetizer and small plates
Pumpkins from Walgreens clearance last fall
Cake stand from Target
Lamp from clearance at Walmart
After taking this picture I added some caramel corn to the empty dish but I knew it wouldn't last long there so I wasn't sure if I should take another picture:)
Tray from Walmart
other pieces from Chicago gift stores when I was visiting my sister
Coasters from Norsk Nook, Osseo Wisconsin
~The Children's Corner~
Mr. Moose from my sister after a visit in Washington State.
Stool from Craft's Direct
Pumpkin from Walgreens clearance
Trunks from Alco
Rocking chair from Grandpa Burnson...PRICELESS
I found this little birdie at The Grande Depot, a gift and wine store.
We went the other day because the weather was bad and the trip to the Carlos Creek Winery in Alexandria ,MN was canceled at our request.
The grandkids will be happy for their little treats that grandma has left for them.
I am not happy with this and am thinking of moving it back behind the loveseat where it was orginally. I think I will look a little more for items to compliment this piece of furniture. It feels a little cluttered so close to the fireplace and hubby's chair.
Black lantern Crafts Direct
Copper lantern Walmart garden clearance
Copper bowl Target
Everything else...Craft store
~Fireplace Mantle~
Autumn sign from Fleet Farm
Candle with shade from Walmart
Everything else craft stores
~Entertainment Center~
Urns from Target
Lamp from Shopko
Welcome sign from Target
little pumpkin tealight in the corner craft store
The lamp has a night light in the bottom. Hubby chose this piece. We think it will compliment the lamps that are still to be purchased for the rest of the living room.

~WELCOME TO FALL AT WOBEGON COTTAGE~
We still need to tweak a few things but should be ready for company soon.
